Valkyrie
Valkyrie– As you know, there were a dozen of attempts to kill Hitler, and this movie is about one of them. Based on a true story, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is a German officer who is on the mission to stop the Nazi while there is still some hope for the world. He puts in danger his own life and the lives of his wife and kids for the attempt to save the rest of the world. Seems that there is not much time left for Hitler to conquer the world and Colonel Claus join the forces of the German resistance. He is familiar with Hitlers plan called operation Valkyrie and brings it up on the table to end the Nazi regime.
The movie is great, Tom Cruise is in the center of the picture as usual. I am sorry to give a tip on how the movie ends, but if you don’t know that Hitler was not assassinated, you pretty much know the ending yourself since it is based on a true story. However, the movie keeps you in attention all the way till the end hoping that Hitler would get killed; and they do get really close… The movie shows how the famous leader that did so much to protect himself but still was vulnerable.
Valkyrie is full of action and is a great movie to see, even if you are not a big fan of war movies. Please watch the trailer below, however, it could’ve been done better. The movie has better parts. 🙂
